I use 85-140 but as long as it is a good oil you can use 80-90W.
You do not have to use so-called ATV oil. ATV oil is the very same oil as used in your automobile. Use any major brand SAE oil in the correct weight. I recommend you use a 100% synthetic oil.
you should use 10 w 40 valvoline depending on your usage you can use nomal or heavy duty
its probably from going threw mud in 4 high and or also from pulling people out in rev so if you can go in 4 low when in mud and just use you winch to pull out other people.
Use 4 cycle oil if the engine is a 4 cycle engine. Use 2 cycle if it is a 2 cycle. Use the weight oil recommended by the manufacture of your ATV.
I use Honda 10w40 oil in our Polaris Sportsman 500. The only reason for the Honda oil is that I also own Honda motorcycles so I run the same oil in the bikes and the two quads. (We also have a Kawasaki ATV) Check the owner's manual for the specific grade of oil which should be used in your particular machine. The temperature range in which the machine is operated in is what determines the grade of oil to be used.
oil is oil like Yamaha recomends yamalube..its bull.sheet. they just want money..i use 5w30 or 10w30 most likely 10w30 in summer..i use valvoline synthetic in cars snowmobile and ATV, its the 3rd best oil if you want use amsoil that the best oil on planet...it allows you to do 25k mile change intervals in a truck or car
The recommended type of oil to use for a Kawasaki 610 Mule is API SF. Th610 Mule will hold approximately 1.5 quarts of oil.

The 750 STS Kawasaki Jetski uses 2 cycle engine oil. 2 cycle engine oil is specifically made for use in jetskis.

Honda ATV oil 10W 40 ...only use ATV oil not car oil ... I go to the top of the crosshatch marks on the dipstick.. :-)
