What opinion can a girl give to a 16-year-old boy who has never asked a girl out or even said hi to one - 'Do girls only like handsome guys or do they go more for the caring type'?

* Don't be afraid to talk to girls... because we like it when guys show interest and talk to us. Personally, I would go for a caring and romantic/sweet kind of guy -- even if he is not that cute -- over a guy who is drop-dead gorgeous but a jerk!!

Being handsome doesn't mean you have it made. I like guys to make me feel important, who treat us like girls should be treated. I have learned from experience that relationships that are held up by good looks or social status do not last. However, if you like each other because of personality (which shows when the guy is nice and sweet) the relationship is a lot stronger. Personality and attitude are definitely more important to me. And if good looks come with it, it's a lucky bonus.

* OK, here's what I think -- you're a late bloomer, not weird or different in any way, but just late. Here is my advice: Be more open; dive in there and talk to some girls. Don't get too serious too quickly; that will just scare them off. But try to make some good friends that are girls.

Also, girls do care about looks but once you get to know them they'll begin to see your other better, more important qualities. Caring and being kind, in my book, are way more important and more attractive than looks will ever be. I really hope this helps.

Here's a little story. My friend, Robbie, liked my other friend. They have known each other for about a month and out of nowhere he started liking her. I talked to him ands asked him if he was going to ask her and he said he was too shy. So my point is that you shouldn't be shy with the ladies, talk with them, get to know them and maybe in the future she'll like you and you can ask her out, but not fast. You have to take it slow!
