Some issues are very serious, but not many people know about it (they aren't aware) so there are campaigns that raise awareness of such issues. For example, everyone knows cancer is very serious, and of that, breast cancer may be the one that gets most publicity and effort. However, pancreatic cancer is even more serious, and has a very low survival rate but not many people know about it, so not as much effort is geared towards it. Therefore there are some awareness campaigns that tell people more about pancreatic cancer, how serious it is and the symptoms.

What can the society do to change teenage abusive relationships?
I think that society should start recognizing the fact that this type of relationship does exist and stop sweeping it under the rug. There should be more awareness about this behavior. There are warning signs and those signs should be taught to everyone. Just like Breast Cancer Awareness there should be a way to have this behavior and its consequences be brought out so that it can be handled. Let's try teaching our children that this behavior is not acceptable and there are ways to handle the situation. The biggest thing that society can do it to GET INVOLVED do not ignore a situation if you happen to come across one or observe someone's behavior.
