Remove the 2 screws holding the plastic housing around the steering wheel. Remove the top part of the housing; pull down the bottom part as it does NOT come off. Set your ignition to the RUN position. Push in the tab on the underside of the lock cylinder and pull out the old cylinder. Get your new cylinder & set it to the RUN position (or at least out of the LOCK position). Slide your new cylinder in the way the old one came out. Make sure it locks in correctly.

If you can't activate the starter motor, your electrical components don't work, or the key is wobbly when you insert it, you should have your ignition lock cylinder inspected by a professional. Each time you turn the ignition lock cylinder these two wires move with it and after years of this movement one or both become detached. You can replace the lock cylinder or bypass the security system altogether by installing a resistor the same value as the resitor chip in your key into the wiring harness below the steering column.
You have to remove the radio to get to the passlock sensor. Once the radio is removed, its right behind the ingnition switch. It is possible to by pass it, the yellow wire required to do it only though. The sensor is actually part of the ignition cylinder itself. It is in the case surrounding the tumbler portion of the lock.
