A U.S. passport. In 1981, anybody could travel to Pakistan on a U.S. Passport. In fact, I had two friends that went to Pakistan with a Pakistan co-worker. There was a travel advisory making certain visa requirements necessary and it took them over two months to get that done.
We have proof from the Hawaii Secretary of State that he was born in Hawaii. We know by U.S. law that an American born minor cannot have their citizenship changed by parents and the child must voluntarily change citizenship after they turn 18.
Give it a rest.
Mr. Obama President of United State of America Spent a very short time of his life in Pakistan Province Sindh City Karachi three weeks in 1981
Yes he did. It is an internet myth that he traveled on a "foreign student" passport. The countries he traveled to back then were frequently visited by American students and websites that say he went to "banned countries" are incorrect. Mr. Obama was an American student who wanted to travel, and so he got an American visa and visited several countries, including Pakistan. It was not illegal for Americans to visit Pakistan in 1981, as newspaper articles from back then have shown.
His own.
The truth is that Pakistan is and was on the US State Department travel warning list. This meant, and means today, that non-essential travel is highly discouraged. (See the following State Department link; http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/tw/tw_930.html.) Simple logic would conclude that he would not have required a foreign passport, but could have traveled on his US passport. There were other Americans who traveled in Pakistan (at least one journalist) at that time as well, so Obama wasn't alone. Although it is recommended to register with the embassy beforehand or immediately upon arrival, it is not a requirement now or in 1981.
When he was a college student, he did visit Pakistan. He has visited many countries over the years, as a student, a congressman, and of course, as president. For a complete list of his presidential trips, I enclose a link.
Hussein is his middle name. It is a traditional family name and common in Kenya, where his father was from. The president's name is Barack Hussein Obama, II. He was named after his father, Barack Hussein Obama, Sr.
Pakistan School Muscat was created in 1981.
First, no other president in U.S. history has ever been asked to release such information. Much of the suspicion about the president is a result of a small group of people called the Birthers, who insist the president was not born in America, despite numerous pieces of evidence that prove he was. Second, the president is under no obligation to release his college transcripts; in fact, they are protected by federal privacy laws, and many other presidents have chosen not to release that information. Contrary to internet myths, not releasing college grades does not mean the person is hiding anything. As for his passport, there is an internet myth that he traveled to Pakistan on a "foreign student" passport, but this is not accurate, since it was not forbidden for Americans to travel to Pakistan back in 1981. It should also be noted that the president has been very forthcoming with such private records as his taxes and he has also posted his long-form birth certificate. Yet the people who refuse to believe that he is an American will probably continue feeling that way, no matter how much information he makes available.
1981
If you are referring to diplomatic trips, the president has scheduled visits to Pakistan on several occasions since he took office, but the meetings were delayed or postponed. However, the president has talked with Pakistani leaders on numerous times, including at the Nato Summit in May 2012. There are also reports that Pakistani President Zardari is scheduled to come to the US for meetings with President Obama in September. If you are referring to the time that a young Barack Obama traveled to Pakistan, this was a trip he took when he was still a college student, in 1981. He visited the city of Lahore, then a popular tourist destination. There are internet rumors that he went there on a "foreign student visa," but this is a myth, debunked by many fact-checking websites. I enclose a link to one of them.
