The Asian Countries that occupy the Choson Peninsula (Hanguk Peninsula in South Korea, Korean Peninsula in English) are North Korea (the Democratic People's Republic of Korea) and South Korea (the Republic of Korea). This peninsula extends from Asia between the Sea of Japan & the Yellow Sea.
The Choson Peninsula is comprised of South Korea and North Korea, and lies between the Yellow Sea and the Sea of Japan. China is located directly to the North and Japan directly to the South.
The Chosun peninsula is occupied presently by North and South Korea. Chosun is the former name of these countries.

And Japan decided to call the sea 'The Sea of Japan' in international conference, 1912(at that time, Korea was colony of Japan). And now, two country argue about that(and Korean tries to call the sea 'East Sea'). In fact, 'The sea of Japan' is wrong name cause the sea is between Korea and Japan-and Korea is not Japan anymore!
