because of flash gas the amount of liquid entering the evaporator would be 75 % liquid and 25% vapour
When vapor refrigerant is pulled out of a cylinder the vapor is reduced and the liquid boils to replace the vapor that has left the cylinder.
Explain the term Refrigerant Quality.
it remains in a vapor state
Add refrigerant vapor on the low side of the system ,the compressor raises the pressure of the refrigerant on the high side of the system and lowers the pressure on the low side
The refrigerant condenses inside coils from a vapor to a liquid. Then it releases heat to warm up the house.
Refrigerant enters a direct expansion evaporator as a saturated liquid vapor mix and leaves as a superheated vapor.
it starts as a liquid and turns into vapor before going into the compressor
Low pressure vapor
In dray expansion evaporator, the liquid refrigerant is generally fed by an expansion valve. the expansion valve controls the rate of flow of refrigerant to the evaporator. In the evaporator the liquid refrigerant is vaporized and superheated by the time it reaches to the end of evaporator. At inlet of the evaporator, the refrigerant is predominantly in the liquid form with a small amount of vapor formed as a result of flashing at the expansion valve. the liquid refrigerant passes through the evaporator, more and more refrigerant is vaporized by the load. according to the load, the liquid will come into evaporator and vaporize and reaches to superheat at the end of the evaporator. The inside of the evaporator is far from dry but wetted with liquid so named as dry expansion evaporator.
superheated vapor
low temperature low pressure vapor
Yes. Refrigerant turns to vapor in the evaporator coil and returns to liquid in the condenser.
low temperature low pressure vapor
Rectifiers are used to remove water vapor mixed with ammonia vapor if any by cooling it before entering inside evaporator
low temperature low pressure vapor
low temperature low pressure vapor
The three main functions of the evaporator are to:a. absorb heat from the medium being cooled.b. allow the heat to boil off the liquid refrigerant to a vaporc. allow the heat to superheat the refrigerant vapor
