There is no simple answer to this question, what happens to an animal after the experiments depends on what was done to them. A number of the animals will go onto be used in other experiments and even a few of them may end up in a loving home. Occasionally cats and dogs from testing are adopted out to families and some of the primates used end up on wildlife reserves or in zoos, however this is not typically the case and usually only happens to animals that were used in behavioral as opposed to medical studies. Some experiments require the animal to be euthanized for sample collection or post-mortem examination. Even when the animal is not required the be euthanized side affects of the experiments have made the animal unsuitable for either further experimentation or life as a household pet.
i would day not to many because people are now finding it wrong to do
about 40-50%, but it is for a great cause, and almost all animals are given painkillers and sleeping medicines, so even if they do die, it is virtually painless.
duno-sad though
I have heard around 250-300.

13, 000 animals died due to animal testing in 2009. A majority of these deaths were due to cross breeding, as scientists try to create more animal species.(cross breeding is when scientists combine two genes from two different animals.)
bcause animals need oxygen 2 breathe & plants give off oxygen in exchange 4 CO2. & animals breathe out CO2.
No they shouldn't, because were not the only ones with rights, animals have them to. If a cream got tested a little animal and died from it would be unfair because we have enough cream and that kind of stuff. :)

In an experiment, there are many variables (things that can't be controlled). For an accurate result, experiments must be done many times over to so that a pattern can be seen, giving scientists an idea of what the result is. For example, if you tested how music affected plant growth, and tested it once, if the plant died because of other causes, it could seem like the music affected the plant. By doing the experiment many times and seeing no affect on the majority of the plants, the scientists would see that music has no affect on plant growth. Scientists redoing experiments is to ensure that the results are credible.
More than 20 scientists have died on volcanoes in the past 30 years. ~ National Geographic
The percentage of soldiers tat died of the war at Valley Forge was 80%.
No animals died on Noah's Ark.
Fossils are used by scientists to answer questions about species and maybe even dinosaurs. They use the fossils and run tests by using there DNA and seeing their molecular structure and running it by other animals for similarity's.
