Cat stools, especially indoor cats', taste very sweet to dogs because of what cats like to eat. I'm not sure of the specifics of it but because cat food is very sweet, which dogs love more than their own treats, it tends to make their stool very sweet, which is irresistable for most dogs, including mine, which is why we have to store our closed in litter boxes on shelves where only the cats can reach them.
