In college I think it is less of an issue, because students with children tend to have a better focus on why they are in school at that level.

I personaly don't think that they should get after-school jobs bevcause they need to focus on their school work. In my opinion, no. School comes first and any extra time after school needs to be spent studying and getting help from Tutors. Once they have proven themselves responsible enough to maintain their grades then maybe they are mature enough to manage both.
