Waning crescent.
Phases of moon:New moon -> Waning crescent -> First quarter -> Waning half -> Waning gibbous -> Full moon -> Waxing gibbous -> Waxing half -> Second quarter -> Waxing crescent-> New moon.Well in between the waxing crescent moon and the waxing gibbous moon is the first quarter moon, but if you are talking about the waning crescent and gibbous moon phases, the third quarter moon is the phase in between.
When the moon is half illuminated, looking like a half-plate in the sky, we casually call that
a "half moon". Technically, though, that same appearance is known as one of the "Quarter"
phases ... either First Quarter or Third Quarter ... because it occurs at one quarter and
three quarters of a month after a New Moon.
So the "First Quarter" and one of the "half moons" in the month are the same thing, and
happen at the same time.
That period extends over roughly a week. It's called the 'waxing gibbous' phase.
'Waxing' means growing. 'Gibbous' means more than a half disk but less than a full one.
As the moon "grows" it's called a waxing moon, when it "shrinks" it's called a waning moon
"Waning gibbous"
This is called the Lunar Month, and is approximately 28 days.
A Moon that is decreasing in illuminated area (full to new) is "waning."
A Moon that is increasing in illuminated area (new to full) is "waxing."
The phase of the moon that is more than half but not quite full is called gibbous.
I would expect that period of time to comprise 3/4 of a full cycleof phases, or about 22.15 days.
Waxing gibbous
compounding of interest refers to the action wherein, the interest paid to us over a period of time would increase gradually.Ex: Lets say you invest Rs. 10000/- at 10% per annum which is compounded every quarter. So interest for first quarter: Rs. 250/-Principal at the end of first quarter: 10,250/-Interest for second quarter: Rs. 256.25/-Principal at the end of second quarter: 10,506.25/-the increase in interest in the second quarter is because, the interest paid during the first quarter is also considered for interest payment in the second quarter. So, even though the principal amount we invested remains the same the interest varies because of compounding of interest. The shorter the compounding period, greater is the interest earned.Simple interest is to charge interest on the principle amount.compound interest is the interest calculated on the simple interest!
That's the "First Quarter" moon, but when you look at it, you see 1/2 of thedisk lit up.The name "First Quarter" means that a quarter of the time has passed fromone New Moon to the next ... technically, 7.38 days. (rounded)

The incubation phase of a disease is the time period that elapses between exposure to a disease causative agent or a pathogenic organism and when the first symptoms occur, for example incubation period of Cellulitis is 1 day, and that of Influenza is 2 days.
I would expect that period of time to comprise 3/4 of a full cycleof phases, or about 22.15 days.
The moon cycles through 4 phases every month. There are about 3 weeks between the first and last quarter phases of the moon.
I believe that the anwser is last quarter.
It isn't specifically stated but most assume that it is only a matter of a few minutes from beginning to end.
waxing gibous
The team that possessed the ball at the end of the first quarter would have possession of the ball at the start of the second quarter. Game play continues between the first and second quarters, and also between the third and fourth quarters. So if a team is in the middle of a drive at the end of the first quarter, play will resume for that team wherever it ended when the quarter expired. The only difference is that teams exchange ends of the field between quarters, so that if the team in possession is on the 30-yard line at the end of the quarter, play will move to the opposite 30-yard line at the start of the next quarter.
