The common Trumpet in use today comes in C maj or Bb pitch.

There are other pitches used such as Eb and D but they are specialist soprano horns.

The Bb trumpet range is from low F# to around A above the stave. Though some can play higher than that, it's not really musical.

The Trombone is usually a low pitched instrument. However, all brass instruments have a pretty large range of pitches they can produce depending on how good the player is, so the trombone is capable of producing high pitches as well.

Most commonly the trumpet plays in Bb, C and Eb. The C trumpet is used widely in American orchestras alongside the ubiquitous Bb trumpet and has a much brighter tone.
