Saturn and the moon is called Titan :)
Astronomy HW o.O
Venus has a very thick atmosphere of Carbon dioxide. Its average surface pressure is a crushing 93 bar, or 93 times that of Earths. Each of the four gas giant planets are made mainly of Hydrogen and Helium. Thier atmospheres just get thicker and thicker the deeper you go into the planet.
Mars, Venus's atmosphere is thicker than Earth's. Much thicker.
APPERANTLY it has an atmosphere similar to Earths, with flecks of gold. It is like a very gold kinda coated planet... ^_^
Yes. It is in space just like the whole planet Earth.
earths surface
The thinner the atmosphere, the more craters the planet has. Planets with thicker atmospheres burn up most asteroids before they hit the ground.
The pocket of air that surrounds the earth is called the earths Atmosphere
Earths atmosphere is rich in Oxygen, some 21% of the air is Oxygen. There is oxygen on other planets, but the percentage comes nowhere close to this. The percentage of Oxygen in earths atmosphere is thought to have been much higher in the past, before animals were about, but after the arrival of plants.
Atmospheres have many different purposes, however the Earths atmosphere is vital to its existense as it prevents the suns harmful radiation from reaching the Earths surface. Moreover, from an enviromental standpoint the errosion by pollutants will eventually destroy the delicate atmosphere and the Earths protective barrier will be gone.
Pluto has a relatively thin atmosphere. It is comprised primarily of nitrogen. Pluto was the ninth planet in the Solar System until it was demoted in 2006 to a dwarf planet.
