Planet Gliese
Technically, yes. But, just a few years ago, scientists discovered a red, round, sphere-shaped hunk of rock that scientists believe may be a ninth planet(well, tenth planet if you count Pluto). It is still unclear if it really is another planet or not.
Saturn does not have its own sun and it has 60 moons and some were just discovered a few years ago
Triton is a dorf planet. It was just discovered.
Uranium was discovered in 1789 by German chemist Martin Klaproth, who extracted it from the mineral pitchblende. Klaproth named the new element after the planet Uranus, which had been discovered just a few years earlier.
the new planet goldilocks 20 lightyears away is most like earth but MAYBE in about 20 million years mars will be just like earth
A new Earth like planet Kepler 22-b was discovered in 2009 but only recently confirmed as a planet. Its made big news as it is thought to be around 2.4 times the size to Earth and orbits a star that is similar to our own star (the sun) around 600 light years away. More importantly though, it is in the habitable zone, orbiting just the right distance from its star to allow for water to occur in liquid form - essential for life as we know it. There is a lot that we don't know about it as it is so far away, we don't even know what its atmosphere is like or even if it has one, which is also essential to life.
that remains to be seen. although the chances are slim, there might be an earth-like planet millions of light-years away!
In "modern times" as we know them, Uranus was the first planet discovered. All the other planets known to then were visible to the naked eye from earth, and, thus, were known to ancients. It is exceptionally dim and moves very slowly in its orbit. Uranus was discovered by William Hershel, who saw it in a telescope and announced his discovery on March 13, 1781. The Neptune was discovered in 1846.
Yes they have the name hasn't yet being given but it has water and land just like ours but they are still discovering if life is aproaching in years to come and so far they have decided to give up because the planet is to far away to get to unless scientists create a super powerful and fast space ship . xxx
I DONT KNOW they just named it after the roman goddess venus
The planet you are referring to is the dwarf planet Pluto, which takes just over 248 years to orbit the Sun.
Cos its the furthest away and I guess its just luck
