There are many plants that can be planted in September. This is associated with early fall bulbs, seeds like; Caryopteris, Chelone, Eupatoriums, Helenium, Asters, Helianthus, Heliopsis, Sedum, and Solidagos

These are all hardy, great looking, and quick growers. Get ready for color when you plant any and all of these.
