The main thing is that not to let the woman be flat on her back, either have the table angled down or chock her on one side with a pillow or rolled up towel. If the woman is left lying flat on her back, the baby actually compresses her vena cava (main blood supply) and she will become light headed and even faint. Usually she will shift herself before this happens but by placing a rolled up towel or thin pillow under her right side this will alleviate the pressure. She can certainly try to be on her stomach but that is an individual thing for each woman and their own comfort level. You could try to place a pillow on both sides whilst lying face down.
Hope that helps

Whatever position makes her feel good and gives her relief. She will know where, just ask her.
Stop the massage and call 911 !!!!
It easiest to have access to the hamstrings, which includes the biceps femoris, when your client is prone on the massage table. Answer 2: This is what I do, While client is lying prone, after warming up the area I will bend the knee, and encourage the client to rest their calf against me this passive movement allows the hamstrings to relax, thus allowing you to knead and lift the hamstrings. Assuming the client is able to relax this works like a charm.
Great question that should have an easy answer. And the best answer is it depends on the client. Most can get off the table safely on their own, but for those few that need the additional help it is essential that every massage therapist have the skill necessary to perform such a maneuver safely. The best approach is to turn the drape so that it is cross-wise on the torso and the superior hem is at the level of the axillae. Then, using both hands, turn the client on their side, help them bend their knees, and then hold their hip and shoulder as you verbally instruct them to help push themselves up into a sitting position with their arms.
It is not a contraindication for massage at all. It is a contraindication for being in a supine, and even a prone, position. If the massage therapist is trained properly, they will know how to do a sidelying position massage that will be safe. Again, it is not the massage that is contraindicated, but the position that most people have on the massage table. Sidelying resolves the issues with supine hypotensive syndrome so there should be no problem for you to receive a massage, just lie on your side, or even better, just on your left side.
