What predictions did the book of Revelation make on communism?

The developed political "isms" of our "modern age" [these latter days of man's allotted time of rule on the earth] weren't extant when the books of the Bible were inspired and written. So the Bible doesn't speak to "commun-ISM"... or "capital-ISM," etc., specifically.

But it does speak to the latter day descendants of PEOPLE... the intermediate and latter day children of Shem, Ham, and Japheth; the mixed and scattered children of Noah, who floated over to this side of the flood with the memories and experiences of what went on before. The PEOPLES who became the ones who populate the world today.

The Bible prophesies about certain PEOPLES who came to embrace "communism." Some of the descendants of Japheth... like Korea, China and Russia came to embrace this political view of governance over their people. And it's against these descendants of "Magog" that Bible prophecy speaks of the latter days of God's plan for man's Salvation.

The time frame of the prophecy is when Jesus Christ returns to earth with His angelic armies to remove man's errant governments and their political systems, to establish His Kingdom upon it [read Dan.2 & 7 -- and read all of Jesus' parables and His unchanging "gospel" - good news - message to all of mankind; Mark 1:14-15].

It will be the prophesied time when Satan the Devil and his two mortal henchmen, [the politico-military Beast and the religious miracle-working False Prophet - Rev.13] will call to all the kings of the world to gather together to FIGHT CHRIST [quite possibly to be viewed on earth at the time as the long-awaited and subliminally programmed into man's mind as the long-expected: "invasion from outer space"].

"And I saw three evil spirits that looked like frogs leap from the mouth of the Dragon [Satan - see Rev.12:9], the Beast, and the False Prophet. These miracle-working demons caused ALL THE RULERS OF THE WORLD to gather for battle AGAINST THE LORD on that Great Judgment Day of God Almighty... And they gathered ALL THE RULERS and THEIR ARMIES to a place called ARMAGEDDON in Hebrew." (Rev.16:13-16 NLT New Living Translation)

Daniel prophesys that at "the time of the end" [the time of the end of man's allotted time of rule on earth]:

"Then at the time of the end, the King of the South will attack him [the King of the North; the Beast], and the King of the North will STORM OUT AGAINST HIM with chariots, cavalry, and a vast navy..." (Dan.11:40 NLT).

Bible prophecy looks out on the world from the focal point of JERUSALEM. From Jerusalem, then, the King of the North [of Jerusalem] would rule EUROPE, the land last ruled by Daniel's "fourth Beast"... the world-ruling [holy] Roman Empire. Which is prophesied to resurrect one last time at the "time of the end" [Rev.13].

The King of the South [by today's reckoning and in light of the modern global push of Islam to unite itself into a viable political power] will "more than likely" be a soon-to-be unified Islamic coalition, that will use its oil reserves as a political tool against the Beast [the King of the North].

The King James Version of Daniel 40 says: "And at the time of the end shall the King of the South [a powerful Islamic leader, yet to be revealed] PUSH AT HIM ..."

This is not so much of an "attack" that the New Living Translation mentions; in the sense of an outright "act of war"... as much as more of an economic attack on Europe's "mechanized" existence.

The outcome of the "push," however, will result in a military invasion by Europe [the King of the North] against Egypt and the Middle East [where the Arab oil reserves are].

"...He will invade various lands and sweep through them like a flood. He will enter the glorious land of Israel, and many nations will fall, but Moab [Iraq], Edom [Turkey] and the best part of Ammon [Jordan] will escape. He will conquer many countries, and Egypt will not escape. He will gain control of the gold, silver, and treasures of Egypt, and the Lybians and Ethiopians will be his servants..." (Dan.11:40-43 NLT)

So, the Beast [King of the North] will "occupy" the Middle East... and its oil fields!

BUT... enter the "Communist" descendants of MAGOG:

"But then news from the East and the North[NORTHEAST of Jerusalem is CHINA and RUSSIA!] will alarm him, and he will set out in great danger to destroy many as he goes. He will halt between the Glorious Holy Mountain [Jerusalem] and the sea and will pitch his royal tents there, but while he is there, his time will suddenly run out, and there will be no one to help him." (Dan.11:44-45 NLT)

Russia and China also have a vested interest in Middle East oil. And they would not take, lightly, Europe's "rapid-response" invasion and takeover of the oil fields of that region. And the hordes of a Chinese/Russian military coalition headed down from "Northeast" of Jerusalem, would surely be "alarming" to the King of the North.

This is Ezekiel's prophecy, regarding these "Communist" people at this time, that coincides with Christ's return to "save the earth" from man's would-be termination of all life on the planet:

"This is another message that came to me from the LORD: 'Son of man, prophesy against Gog of the land of Magog, the prince who rules over the nations of Mesech and Tubal. Give them this message from the Sovereign LORD: Gog, I AM your enemy!

I will turn you around and put hooks into your jaws to lead you out to your destruction. I will mobilize your troops and cavalry and make you a vast and mighty horde, all fully armed...

In the distant future YOU WILL SWOOP DOWN ON THE LAND OF ISRAEL...

You and your allies - a vast and awesome horde - will roll down on them like a storm and cover the land like a cloud...

Therefore, son of man, prophesy against Gog. Give him this message from the Sovereign LORD: ...You will come from your homeland in the distant north with your vast cavalry and your mighty army, and you will cover the land like a cloud. THIS WILL HAPPEN IN THE DISTANT FUTURE. I will bring you against My land as everyone watches, and My Holiness will be displayed by what happens to you. Then ALL THE NATIONS WILL KNOW THAT I AM THE LORD...

You are the one I was talking about long ago, when I announced through Israel's prophets that in future days I would bring you against My people. But when Gog invades the land of Israel, says the Sovereign LORD, MY FURY WILL RISE! ...

I promise a mighty shaking in the land of Israel on that Day. All living things - all the fish, birds, animals, and people - will quake in terror at My presence. Mountains will be thrown down; cliffs will crumble; walls will fall to the earth. I will summon the sword against you throughout Israel...

Your men will turn against each other in mortal combat. I will punish you and your hordes with disease and bloodshed; I will send torrential rain, hailstones, fire, and burning sulfur!

Thus will I show MY GREATNESS and HOLINESS, and I WILL MAKE MYSELF KNOWN TO ALL THE NATIONS OF THE WORLD. Then THEY WILL KNOW THAT I AM THE LORD!" (Ezek.38 NLT)

Ezekiel 38 isn't a prediction about Communism... but a foretelling of the end time events regarding the latter day descendants of Japheth who happen to have embraced that political view. The absolute and definitive defeat of their vast numbers will, once and for all, reveal the LORD's Power and Glory to all the nations of the world -- when they actually SEE it with their own eyes!

"...the LORD will send a plague on all the nations that fought against Jerusalem. Their people will become like walking corpses, their flesh rotting away. Their eyes will shrivel in their sockets, and their tongues will decay in their mouths. On that Day they will be terrified, stricken by the LORD with great panic. They will fight against each other in hand-to-hand combat; Judah, too, will be fighting at Jerusalem... This same plague will strike the horses, mules, camels, donkeys, and all the other animals in the enemy camps. In the end, the enemies of Jerusalem who survive the plague WILL GO UP TO JERUSALEM EACH YEAR [for a thousand years] TO WORSHIP THE KING, the LORD Almighty, and to CELEBRATE THE FESTIVAL OF SHELTERS [the Feast of Tabernacles]..." (Zech.14:12-16 NLT).
