Seven were born in Ohio, but two of them, Grant and Benjamin Harrison moved out of Ohio before they became famous. Those five that were born in Ohio and lived in Ohio as adults were Rutherford Hayes, James Garfield, William McKinley, William Howard Taft and Warren Harding. One other, William Henry Harrison, was born in Virginia, went to Indiana when he became an adult, but moved to Ohio when he was 41 and lived there the rest of his life, serving in Congress for Ohio. So, six held office in Ohio and 8 had some ties with Ohio.
