Confucius was a Chinese philosopher, politician and teacher. He is most known for founding the philosophical system known as Confucianism.
There were several principles that Confucius strongly promoted. The main ones were Jen which refers to goodness and morality of the human race. It was regarded as the virtue of all virtues and dearer than life among others.

The "Analects of Confucius" is a book about Confucius' teachings that was written after his death by his students. His theories and principles eventually became the basis of China's civil-service training system. His most important principle is the 'rectification of names': 'Ruler,ruler; minister, minister; father, father; son, son'. This means that names should become realities and people need to live up to there job title.
