Joseph Smith was loved by some and hated by others. Mobs often beat him, tarred and feathered him, imprisoned him, and eventually shot and murdered him. As a teen he was mocked extensively for telling others of his visions and for his problems with mainstream Christianity, which most of his neighbors were very passionate about.

Other Non-Mormons, however, recognized Joseph Smith's rights and defended him honorably. Some allowed him to escape or hide out to avoid various situations.

Yes, church members faced many difficulties under Joseph Smith's leadership. In Ohio, the church was faced with a mass apostasy when a bank founded by Joseph Smith, the Kirtland Safety Society, failed. Many more apostasized and turned against the church due to Zions' Camp and the introduction of Polygamy. These apostates gathered together mobs which attacked the saints and attempted to destroy the religion. Church members were kicked out of their homes several times by mobs, having to move from New York to Ohio to Missouri to Illinois.

Who was Joseph smiths partner for the Mormon church?

Joseph Smith didn't really have a "partner" in founding the church. He alone was viewed as the prophet and he alone is credited with restoring the God's church to the earth. This question could be answered in several ways:-Faithful members of the church would probably view Joseph's partner in founding the church as Jesus Christ. Mormons believe that Jesus and other Biblical figures appeared personally to Joseph and instructed him in how to organize the church, interpret scripture, and revealing various unique doctrines.-Joseph's partner in translation of the book of Mormon is usually considered to be Oliver Cowdery, although a few others assisted as well. You might also consider Moroni, an ancient figure from the Book of Mormon, who assisted and instructed Joseph in finding the plates as a heavenly messenger.-His partner in leadership after the church was organized is most often his brother, Hyrum Smith. His wife, other siblings, and parents also had prominent leadership positions in the church.

What were Joseph smiths contributions to the mormans?

Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) believe that Jesus Christ restored His church to the earth through Joseph Smith. Joseph Smith received doctrinal revelation and authority through visitations of Jesus Christ, John the Baptist, and Peter, James, and John. Through these visits, Mormons believe that the original Christian church was restored. Essentially, without Joseph Smith, Mormonism would not exist.
