The question is too generic for a concrete answer. Several economic, social, political and even ecologic effects have resulted from Mexico's expanding population, such as:

  • Becoming one of the most populated countries in the world, ranking in the 10th position (128.55 million, 2015).
  • Increasing migration into the cities (79.2% living in urban areas in 2015).
  • Putting increased stress on the country's ecosystems.
  • Increasing the labor force to 52.81 million, becoming also the 12th largest in the world, and directly or indirectly helping to create a GDP of US$2.2 trillion, 11th in the world.

None really. All problems that arise from growing populations, such as increased pollution or the destruction of natural ecosystems happen when wealth does not grow accordingly.
