The only problem that can happen is you would not have a ground for your electrical in the house if the pipe is cut between the clamp and the copper going into the ground outside. You shouldn't get shocked, if that is what you're worried about.
cutting down trees can make floods worse because the soil absorbs the water, water on the leaves evaporates and does not reach the ground, the roots take in the water and the braches stops the water reaching the ground
water is the ground for ships ,and the salt water is the best conductor and it acts as a zero potential(like for us ground as) for ships.
The water can cause circuits to short or ground out, with hazards of electrical shocks or fires.

# Your body # Water # Earth (ground)
Some one did not ground an electrical appliance properly
Electrical grounded to the cold water pipe, usually before the first fitting once it is through the foundation..
unfortuunatly no that is like taking a dead branch and planting it.it will not grow.
You have lost the integrity of the plaster for one.
The electrical code states that if the grounding electrode is to be a metallic water pipe it is to be attached to the street side of the water meter or if not possible as near as practicable to the point of entrance of the water service in the building. You will need to purchase a pipe grounding clamp to make the connection. To stop stray circulating currents from happening all metallic systems should be bonded to each other and to ground.DON'T!You shouldn't connect electrical service ground wires to pipes; it causes electrolysis of the pipe and slowly dissolves some of the metal.Ground wires should be connected to a ground rod that is driven into... the ground.
You can short out the electrical system. Worse, you can take on water through the intake, which can lead to a number of serious problems.
You dig a hole in the ground and you put a seed in it. You cover up the hole and water it and then BOOM!! there is a plant there.
