Of course, the latest Mac OS released to public will come installed. MacBook Pro does not come with eSATA support. If you have MacBook Pro with ExpressCard support, you can get adapter which would allow you to use eSATA. Note: Latest MacBook Pro laptops do not come even with ExpressCard support. Firewire is the fastest available option right now (2010).
The safest way to destroy a macbook pro would be to get someone else to do it for you. There are recycling programs set up in most cities that accept electronics. If the macbook pro is given to them, it could be safely recycled and therefore "destroyed."
