Applications of ic 565 as frequency multiplier?

Integrated Circuits with a NE565 frequency can be used in all electronic devices. These semiconductors are lightweight, low cost, and compact making them useful in many modern appliances, phones, and computers.

What is one example of how engineers use their knowledge of atoms to create nee technologies?

Knowing the properties of atoms can allow the creation of new technologies. For example, doping silicon with impurities can allow the creation of semiconductors with superior/unique properties. These properties are a direct consequence of the electronic structure of the atoms, which in turn influences the band structure of the semiconductor. Thus, the knowledge of atomic properties can be used to produce useful materials.

What is the difference between an electronic device and an electronic circuit?

An electronic circuit is one or more loops around which electrical current can flow as it passes through one or more electronic components. An electronic device is any device designed to perform a specific useful function that is implemented largely using electronic circuits.Note: it is possible to design and build an electronic circuit that does nothing useful, it is not possible to design and build an electronic device that does nothing useful (the very reason for designing and building electronic devices is to create a thing having a useful function).

Why semiconductor is called semiconductor not semiinsulator?

The purpose of semiconductors is to control the amount of conduction, not the amount of insulation.

Why is copper useful for mobile phones?

Copper is used in mobile phones. It is used in all electronic devices and it makes up the wiring in these devices

Do you need gold?

No one *needs* gold, but people value it because it is pretty, and nice and shiny. Also as it does not corrode, it is useful in some electronic devices.
