As it is extremely competitive to get into law and intellectually demanding you need to be an excellent academic.

So good GCSE results. if you find yourself getting ds or less then maybe this isn't the career for you.

Commercial firms often specify a minimun of 3Bs at A-Level, with many other firms wanting only those with straight A grades. You should look to study the more traditional subjects at College as opposed to often perceived to be 'less challenging subjects' such as Media Studies or PE. Taking an A-Level in Law is not required.

i will need 5 gcse's above the grade C, They will include Maths and English (which are the main ones ) but to be even better History and Languages. Then i Will Need 2 A-Levels (i will probably take around 8) In the region of A*-C

Then i will need to spend 1-2 years studying la, and doing a degree in law to qualify for a job in soliciting

i can get between £30,000 a year and £200,000 a year depending on which category you study, hope this is helpful

There are many individual skills a person needs in order to become a solicitor. Foremost, you will need the ability to read and write in a highly sophisticated manner. Upon starting your official studies at law school, you will be overwhelmed with the amount you need to read, write, and absorb. As well, you will need to be able to have a practical understanding of many administrative, government, and business institutions. Understanding how property is sold or how money is invested is invaluable. Once you begin law school, this will all be explained, but your practical knowledge of these subjects beforehand will make a huge difference. The studying of history will give these insitutions and human relationships some kind of meaning and put these concepts into a better perspective. You will be able to identify trends and wide developments and understand the evolution of a body of law. Many types of law require deep business knowlegde and the studying of economics or business is invaluable. In short, there are many educational backgrounds that would be useful. However, the overarching goal should be to pursue an education that will challenge you to become a critical thinker, a good writer, and a quick and effective reader. This can be accomplished through the studies of History, Language, Economics, or many other educations. This is more a pursuit of education than any particular type of education. For example, many scientists have gone on to become great lawyers or solicitors. Your goal should be to develop the aforementioned skills through any medium.
