A lecturer is an academic position that varies by institution. (See wikipedia on lecturer, in Europe and how it differs from America.) To be a lecturer of law means you have law degrees (or are judged to, perhaps by experience) that show understanding of the law enough to teach it. My Q: why is it called Lecturer OF Law?

It depends on the school, but generally, you need a bachelor's degree in any subject, and you need to take the LSAT.

The grades you get in college, and your score on the LSAT, will largely determine what law schools you're able to get into.

The basic qualification to be a lawyer is to have absolutly no life and only to think about yourself. also only doing the job for money. Another easy way is to put other on your application form for what race you are. Overall, dont become a lawyer unless you are a total liberal

This can vary by nation. In the United States a Juris Doctor degree (JD) is the law degree conferred on a graduate law student after completing what is generally a 2-3 year program. It is an advanced professional degree and is usually obtained by attending a graduate or "law school". These schools may be stand alone institutions or connected to a University (such as Bolt Law School for UC Berkeley). Admissions are predicated (among other things) upon the completion of a Bacheloreate Degree. Therefore it would be safe to say that to study law in the US one must graduate with a BA or BS with sufficient applicable coursework. grade point average and other qualifications to be accepted for admission to a law school.
