How much rent you can comfortably [THE working word] afford to9 pay each month. How much will the utilities and services for that property cost? You want to know as much about that property and what investigations and aspects of a credit check you will be required to go through. As a very general and accepted rule in real estate: "If it isn't in writing - it simply doesn't exist." EVERY little thing must be in writing. When it isn't, there's no sense going any further with the issue - on your part OR the landlord's.
