Lower right relay. Labeled 167 from the factory.
The fuel pump relay, normally located under the hood in the fuse/relay center.
BAD fuel pump relay.
A fuel pump relay is just that,a relay that runs the electric fuel pump on your vehicle. PCM stands for powertrain contol module,it is the center for contoling the proper operation of fuel delivery, engine timing etc. The fuel pump relay and pcm relay are not the same.
If the fuel system is still holding pressure the car will start and run until the fuel runs out, The relay turns on the fuel pump.
The fused lead goes to the fuel pump relay in the relay center then to the fuel pump in the gas tank. The relay is operated by the engine control module computer
Have fun. It is in the fuel tank so be sure that It is bad before you replace it. The computer runs a relay that runs the fuel pump.
There is a relay that runs the fuel pump, but befor you start probing around in there UNPLUG the PCM, (engine Computer), then loosen a fuel line and apply power to the relay and see if you get fuel. >>>> CAUTION
Check the fuel pump relay, fuel pump, and filter.
fuel pump is in fuel tank.if pump runs with key off replace fuel pump relay
To test a 1986 Volvo 240 DL fuel pump relay, first locate the relay in the fuse box. Use a multimeter to check for continuity by applying power to the relay terminals while listening for a click, indicating it's functioning. Additionally, you can bypass the relay by connecting the fuel pump directly to the battery to see if the pump operates. If the pump runs with the bypass but not with the relay, the relay is likely faulty.
fuel pump relay
There is no such thing. The pump runs off a relay. There is a fuel pump shut off relay. If the ecm sees a fault in the system, it will shut off the pump to prevent damage or fire.
