Roman Catholic AnswerWestminster Abbey was built by the Catholic Church and was Catholic up until Henry VIII broke from Rome. While he was evicting all the religious from their monasteries and stealing them, he also stole our Churches, Rectories, Schools, etc. and kept them for the government. Currently Westminster Abbey is still protestant Church of England, the current Cathedral is Westminster Cathedral which is the Catholic Church.
