Christianity was founded in Israel, and Jesus Christ (the son of God) was the founder. ADDED: Jesus did not found Christianity. The religion was founded by followers of his teachings, and originally as a sect of the Judaism which was their and Jesus' faith.
Jesus' teaching were totally different that what the Romans believed. Jesus' teaching were linked to the Judaic traditions and were monotheistic (one god). The Romans had a totally different religion which was one of the many polytheistic (many gods) religions, which were the usual type of religion among ancient peoples.
This is teaching: "Christians believe that Jesus was the Son of God" This is advocating: "Christians know that Jesus is the Son of God" or just "Allah is the only God and Muhammad was his prophet", as Islam teaches.
Nobody founded Easter Monday. It's a Christian religion, created after Jesus' death and resurrection.
