well i have not gone into much detail in my readings. i do know this during the last century women gained rights such as the right to vote and to work. the time that women truly had the first sign of change in the sturcture was during war world 2. maily due to the lack of males to fill in for the jobs women took over for their missing husbands. for reasons that i am not to sure of women after the war went back to not having much power in the household. this reamined the same until the later 60's and 70's

The suffragette movement
Mary Wollstonecraft credited a lack of education and equal rights for women as contributing factors to their inferior treatment in society. She argued that women's limited opportunities for education and lack of legal rights made them dependent on men and vulnerable to mistreatment.
There was a time when women lacked a great deal of legal rights. They included the right to vote, no equal pay, not being allowed to attend certain schools, and not getting custody rights to their children after a divorce.
The Continental Army lacked mainly discipline, training, man, and firepower during the beginning years of the Revolution. They also lacked supplies, especially during the winter in Valley Forge. After training was given by Barron Von Steuban, the discipline did improve.
