Korean's have small eyes and therefore could not see the missles that were being thrown towards them. This then resulted in complete distruction of Korea. in order to rebuild Korea, many people thought that it would be a good idea to issue Communism. America said lol no and took over korea.
The US policy of containment was basically just the US policy to stop the spread of communism. Ordinarily, this took the form of stationing military forces in direct confrontation with communists: Greece, Iran, Germany, Turkey, Latin America, Korea, and Vietnam, and the general belief was that the communists (most of the time the Soviets) would back down--which the Soviets almost always did.
Besides the US; Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Thailand, and the Philippines sent COMBAT units to Vietnam.

contain Soviet expansion and influence. This policy, known as containment, aimed to prevent the spread of communism and Soviet power by providing economic and military aid to countries threatened by Soviet aggression. It shaped American foreign policy for several decades and played a significant role in the Cold War.
The containment policy (its target: the worldwide containment, and blocking of the further spread, of Communism) led to first the Korean War and later, the Vietnam War. It was also a major driving force for the 'cold war' between the US and Russia that lasted until 1989. In the Third World, it led to often massive US support and development aid for any country or leader that called itself anti-communist or who was threatened by resistance or liberation groups that called themselves socialist or communist. The Marshall Plan led to massive and essential US help to European countries that had been hard hit by WW 2, to rebuild their economies. The Containment Policy played a clear role in this Plan, since the US in this way also wanted to prevent the spread of Communism in Western Europe. So Plan and Policy were interlinked, and they were directly or indirectly responsible for most of the major post-war developments in Europe, Asia and the Third World.
