The Five Pillars of Islam state that one must profess there is only one God and that Muhammad is his prophet. They also state that prayers must be given daily. Charitable gifts must be made whenever able. During the month of Ramadan, there must be ritual fasting. Finally, there is an obligatory pilgrimage to their holy land of Mecca. This pilgrimage is called the Hajj.

Hammurabi was an ancient ruler in Mesopotamia (now known as Iraq). He was the first one to write all of his rules down. He wrote all of his rules on giant pillars. In total he had 280 rules! His rules were basically if you do something bad the same thing will be done to you or sometimes worse. Hammurabi was the king of Babylonia (Mesopotamia) from 1792 to 1750BC. They dealt with everyday life, protected property, sentenced criminals. The principle was 'an eye for eye' or a tooth for a tooth.ill be done to you or sometimes worse.

Who made the 5 pillars of islam?

The five pillars of Islam were not specified all together at one time. They were specified gradually. The first pillar (testimony that no God except Allah and that Muhammad is His messenger) was specified on the very start of Quran God revelation to prophet Muhammad (PBUH) through the angel Gabriel (Jibril) in year 610 AD. The remaining pillars were completed some 2 or 3 years after 610 AD.
