your original belt length is 1735 mm, when you bypass a/c compressor new lenght will be 1400.
thereby you have to use any 6pk1400 or 7pk1400 belts
The serpentine belt that operates the accessories is loose, or glazed and the squeel you hear is when an extra load is placed on it when the compressor cuts in. Tighten or replace the serpentine belt.
If the a/c belt is not part of the Serpentine system it is not needed but if it is then your serpentine belt is the a/c belt the a/c probably just needs a freon recharge and will get it working again
In Short Yes Did it on my own 01 civic Just need to get different belt for the alternator
My car is going through the same issue with the A/C. You CAN replace the compressor clutch without replacing the compressor, but the caveat is that you can't tell if the compressor is any good without a clutch. So basically you are gambling that the compressor will still be good by only replacing the clutch. Hope this helps!
The 2006 Honda Infinity compressor fuse is located under the hood.
The 2001 Honda Civic is not equipped with a serpentine belt, but has 2 v-belts. These are tensioned through use of a tensioner.
Where is the AC compressor fuze located on the 2002 honda civic lx?
never
How to remove the ac compressor housing in a honda civic 2001
You will need more than the AC Compressor for this. The refrigerant is different. You will need all the components to go with the newer version Compressor.
All you need to do is buy an alternator belt for a 2001 Honda Civic Dx. They came stock without A/C so it'll fit
