no they hated each other
Militarily they cooperated well enough, but they did not like each other.
June 25-26, 1832 was the time when the Battle of Velasco occurred. It happened because a Mexican commander named Domingo de Ugartechea tried to stop the Texians from transporting cannon to attack Anahuac City, where William B. Travis and other Texian separatists were being held. After the initial battle, Ugartechea's men ran out of ammunition. The Mexican commander Juan Davis Bradburn was forced to release the prisoners and resign his position.
In 1676, an armed rebellion, led by Nathaniel Bacon took place in Virginia. It was called Bacon's Rebellion. Bacon and some other settlers were rebelling against the rule of Governor William Berkeley, who failed to address the concerns the settlers had about their safety.
William B. Travis was one of the colonels(commander!) at the battle of the Alamo(James Bowie being the other.) He fought along with Stephen F. Austin, Jim Bowie, Juan Seguin, Davy Crockett, and many others who gave their lives defending the Alamo.
Originally the Spanish called Mexico "Viceroyalty of New Spain", with the capital being Mexico City, later when Mexico became independent it was renamed "United Mexican States", mainly derived from Mexico City (former Mexico-Tenochtitlan, the capital of the Aztec empire). At the time of independence there were other options for the new country's name, which was eager to assert a difference with its "Mother Country". Among these were América Mexicana (Mexican America) and Anahuac (name for the territories under the Aztec Empire's power or influence). In fact Nicaragua, a country in Central America, derives its name from Anahuac, being Nic-Anahuac (To this point the Anahuac reached).
In nominal command at the Alamo was Colonel William Travis who shared command with Colonel James Bowie and Colonel David Crockett. Travis and Bowie disliked each other intensely, and the amiable Crockett acted as a buffering force between them. Not an expert on Texan history here. Anyone is welcome to improve.
There is speculation that Travis Tritt had a face left or some other facial plastic surgery done. He has not admitted to it.
From what I have gathered about him, Davy Crockett was very nice, with an affable personality and the ability to get along with most anyone. During his brief association with Jim Bowie and William Travis he was on good terms with both of them, while Bowie and Travis were on anything but good terms with each other. One person with whom Crockett did not get along was Andrew Jackson.
i think the leader of the alamo was Sam Houston i dont really know im in 5th grade and right now im in school trying to look up Jim Bowie facts The Mexican Leader was Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna. The American Leaders were William Travis and James Bowie.
