Use Calomine lotion (i'm not sure that's how you spell it) also if you rub it instead of itching it you won't damage it as much so it will heal faster

You take the end off and dab a little bit on the bite. It works right away. One tube will last you a long time and it is fairly inexpensive. Any drug store should have it.
If you can get hold of "Tiger Balm" it is a great multi purpose healer, simply rub it in to the bite for a minute the let it work, it's the remedy I have ever used.
