Maybe you ARE being rude despite the fact it is the truth. There are many ways to say things and the way you put it can mean the difference between rudeness and honesty. Stop and think how you put something. One of the marks to growing up is learning how to do this and knowing when the truth is needed and when it can be ignored. Not all things need to be said.
