What should I do when my boyfriend and I have been together for 11 months and he is not treating me like a girlfriend anymore and I want to break up but I do not want to lose him as a friend?

- It is not uncommon when boyfriends take their girlfriends for granted, but you are showing your immaturity by not working on the relationship and sitting down and talking to your boyfriend about how you feel and if he doesn't make an effort along with you then you want to break up. You need to admit to yourself you no longer love him and want to be free to date others and although this generation has started a trend of keeping their exes as friends it is not wise to do so. 'Ex' means the relationship is over and both people involved should go their separate ways. Since you no longer love him then be honest with him and tell him you are breaking up with him and stop hiding behind wanting to be friends.
