Immediately take him to a walk-in clinic, his doctor's office, or the ER. In other words, he needs medical attention asap. Whoever you take him to should refer him to a clinical psychologist or psychiatrist for an evaluation of the severity of his depression and suicidal ideation. Do not hesitate though; just do it.
