There are a lot of couples that do not exchange gifts at holidays whether it is due to a lack of funds or just for the simple fact the money spent on gifts on a whim could be spent on more important things. The fact that your together is a gift in itself and you should accept him the way he is - when he is ready and if he wants to he will buy you something.
If you prefer materials things and are higher maintenance then maybe he isn't the boy for you.
The above advice is terrible advice. If you feel like you'd like your boyfriend to give you more things than tell him. The problem is one of communication and you will probably be informing him of feelings you have that he is not aware of. Gifts are proven to improve bonding and intimacy--especially for women! Do not blame yourself for your desire. Accept them and share them.
