There are a lot of things to do in Dublin. Dublin is famous for its pubs and nightlife. You will find traditional music in many of the pubs. Dublin has some great museums, libraries and galleries. It has a lot of magnificent buildings, going back several hundred years. It has a large amount of Georgian buildings. It has many parks in and around the city, including Phoenix Park, which is the largest public park in Europe. In it, amongst many things, is Dublin Zoo. There are loads of sports events in Dublin. During the summer months, you may be able to see a big Gaelic Football or Hurling match in Croke Park, Ireland's largest stadium. Gaelic Football and Hurling are Ireland's two national sports. Throughout the year there are smaller matches on too, which are good to see. Dublin is on the coast and there are a lot of nice coastal towns to visit. South of Dublin are the Wicklow Mountains. From the city centre, within an hour you can be in these mountains and see the beauty of them. A day trip to Glendalough is highly recommended. Dublin has the world famous Guinness Brewery and the Jameson Distillery, both of which run tours. In the centre of the city is Trinity College, where you can see the famous Book of Kells. There is so much more to do in Dublin, more than is possible to mention here, and like any city, you can just go shopping. It is well worth going to Dublin.

Galway too has many things to see and do, some similar to what you would do in Dublin, like pubs, sightseeing and shopping. Galway is smaller, but there are many nice things in the area. A day trip to Clifden will bring you through the beautiful Connemara region. Also near Galway is the world famous Cliffs of Moher, which is well worth visiting. You could also go out to the Aran Islands.

You could spend a few days in Dublin and a few in Galway, but it is also worth seeing more of Ireland. So look at other things to do and places to see, that you can add to your itinerary.
