According to my Haynes repair manual : ( 40 to 60 PSI at 2000 RPM with the engine warm ) On a 1996 Ford Explorer 4.0 liter V6 engine
where is located the fuel injector presssure regulator on a 1999 ford explorer 5.0 liter engine?
Oil Pressure Sender and SwitchFord Ranger/Explorer/Mountaineer 1991-1999http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiBr...3d800d46de.jsp
No , the 1996 Ford Explorer ( 4.0 liter V6 engine and the 5.0 liter V8 engine ) has a timing CHAIN
I ASSUME it would be the same as the 4.0 liter in my 1995 Ford EXPLORER ; ( 39 / 40 PSI , key on , engine off , and 30 PSI with engine running at idle )
For a 2003 Ford Explorer : There were two engine sizes offered from the factory ( the 4.0 liter SOHC , V6 engine , and the 4.6 liter SOHC , V8 engine )
On a 1996 Ford Explorer : ( if you have the 4.0 liter EFI , V6 engine ) The oil pressure sending unit for the gauge is on the drivers side of the engine , below the power steering pump )
On a 1996 Ford Explorer , 4.0 liter OHV , V6 engine : If you look in the engine compartment from the passenger side , on top of the engine , approximately 1 to 1 and 1/2 inches to the left of the engine oil fill tube you will see the fuel pressure regulator ( if my memory is correct )
Either the 4.0 liter SOHC - V6 engine or the 4.6 liter SOHC - V8 engine
in the 1.9 liter engine it should be from 35-45 psi
In a 2004 Ford Explorer : Either the ( 4.0 liter / 245 cubic inch SOHC , V6 engine ) or the ( 4.6 liter / 281 cubic inch SOHC , V8 engine )
