It should look like oil. If it has been in the engine for some time it may have an almost black appearance to it due to the dirt and sludge it has in it. If your oil looks milky you could have a problem with a blown head gasket or cracked block.
look at where the headers come off the engine. follow this and there should be a rod like projection sticking out with wires running down from it. that is your O2 sensor.
Fuel or lubrication? Lubricant looks like petrol engine lubricant, fuel is like paraffin/kerosine.
Well it should look like a tongue with a barbell running through it, the distention (mild swelling) around the piercing is normal and no cause for concern
Look on your dash inside of your car. Next to your speedometer will be your tachometer. if it is on anything but zero, your engine is running.
You should shop for them in stores and online retailers. The best color for neon running shorts if hot pink. It will make you look so tan. They will look hot even if you dont like pink.
It is a dipstick with a yellow end directly behind the oil dipstick. Pull it out, wipe it off stick it back in and check the level, be sure the engine/transmission is warm. The engine should be running to check the fluid level.

You can feel it, hear it, open the hood and look at it and if it is running the indicator lights on the dash will be off.
What does a engine scanner look like
Get behind the exterior of the car and look, if there's a "V6" stamping at the near bottom right of the trunk lid, it's running on the 3.0 liter 6 cylinder engine (Engine model: 1MZ-FE). If not, it should be running on the standard 2.2 liter 4 cylinder engine (Engine model: 5S-FE).
