My 350 crate motor from GM was 210 hp.
The normal operating temperature for a 350 crate motor in a 1972 Chevy Blazer is averaged at a temperature of around 180 degrees and 190 degrees, apparently depending on the kind of thermostat one uses.
8 degrees before top dead center.
190 degrees if carb, 195 if fuel injected
there will be a timing mark on the harmonic balancer. and a timing tab on the timing chain cover. point your timing light at the timing tab and you should see the timing mark on balancer. if not timing is way out.markstang.
The Chevy 350 does not have a timing belt, It has a timing chain. If you are wanting to know where to set the timing, then I need to know the year of the engine. Thay are all different.
Need year, make and model. Now ask your question again with this info. THANK YOU.
It is a carbureted GM 350 crate motor rated at 355hp/405 lb-ft, retails for $6,499.
