It could be one of three things.

First, check that the rubber ring around the top is still flexible and provides a good seal. Depending on the model, you may be able to remove it and wash it, and underneath where it is fitted.

Second, make sure that the pressure valve is clean. On most models you can just pop it off by tugging with a little force. Clean the valve and where it was attached with warm sudsy water and if they are clogged take the stuff out with a toothpick or soak it for a few hours in a 50% vinegar/water solution.

Third, see that the rubber/silicone pressure valve is in the correct position. In three years I have not needed to adjust mine but kids, cooking and cleaning can lightly dislodge it.

How do you cook apple and rhubarb crumble in a pressure cooker?

Find a ceramic container which will fit in the pressure cooker. Cut up 1 bramley apple and put the slices in the ceramic container with one ounce of sugar and some mixed spice. Mix 4 ounces of plain flour, 2 ounces of sugar and 2 ounces of margarine and put these on top of the apple. Put a trivet and half an inch of water in the pressure cooker. Cover the ceramic container so the top of the pressure cooker lid doesn't drip into the crumble. Put the pressure cooker lid on. Bring up to high pressure for 45 minutes. Turn off heat, allow to cool slowly to release pressure. Serves one or two people

How is a pressure cooker use in saving energy for cooking and tenderizing meat faster?

pressure cookers cook faster. Instead of cooking something for 3-4 hours you can cut that down to maybe 1 hour. It tenderizes meat by forcing the steam into the food and breaking up some of the molecules

Why mountaineers in Everest have to use pressure cooker to boil an egg?

because there is very little air pressure up that high in the atmosphere.

Why is it easier to cook in a pressure cooker?

The universal gas law states that (pressure * volume/temperature) of a gas is a constant. Hence, if the volume stays the same (as in a pressure cooker), the air in the cooker can increase in temperature beyond the boiling point of water as pressure builds up over the normal atmospheric pressure. A higher temperature means faster cooking. The above is a very simplistic view of the physics involved.

Can I use a pressure cooker on a portable electric burner or won't it have enough power?

Yes your pressure cooker will work on a portable electric burner. It's likely that it will take a little longer to warm up but once it gets heated up it will work fine.

What will be the melting point of water in pressure cooker?

You haven't provided enough information, we need to know, at least, the pressure of said pressure cooker, and even then I'm not sure quite if it's possible. If you look up the phase diagram for water, you can see that the melting point goes down with more pressure.

What causes jars to break in pressure cooker?

Jars, presumably glass ones, can not withstand the pressures that a pressure cooker make. A pressure cooker increases the pressure in the pan, so you need a lower temperature and a shorter time to cook something, but jars burst when the pressure inside and outside the jar differ too much. It's best not to use them together.

Why the boiling point of water in pressure cooker high?

A pressure cooker minimizes the escape of fluids or air. The build-up of air and fluid increases the pressure inside the cooker, which also increases the boiling point. An open kettle allows the fluid and air to escape, heat is lost thus cooking time is longer.
