If your three phase motor runs backward, you have two phases swapped. double check a, b and c phase to find which ones are misplaced.
check the capacitots
rotate the phases
no you should never wear them
The electrolytic capacitor should be connected in only one direction.
On split system installations, the suction line should be pitched towards the compressor at least Suction line should be insulated for 2 reasons: 1) so it does not drip condensation everywhere it passes through the homes interior space. ie attic, inside walls etc. 2) cool suction gas is what cools the compressor motor during operation, insulating the pipe carrying it helps prevent that gas from picking up heat from the surrounding air ensuring it remains an effective coolant for the motor. The original reply was also correct, an effort to pitch the suction line towards the compressor should be madr wherever possible to aid in oil return.
Just swap two of the phases over. <<>> Care must be taken when swapping wires on a star delta system. Reversing the wrong set in the motor box and getting the wrong wires could accidently reverse the wrong set of windings. This would cause the star magnetic to be rotating in the correct rotation and then when it switches to delta the motor tries to reverse causing a locked rotor condition and spiking the voltage very high and hopefully tripping the overload protection. The correct place to swap the two legs is at the supply side of the star contactor.
the fan should be blowing air out of the unit,as far as the direction different brands use differentdirecton fans to accomplish this
In a perpendicular direction to the rotating body.
the asiest way to see if it is working is to start the car, turn on the a/c, watch your compressor. you should hear a click than the center of the compressor pully will start rotating, if that doesnt happen you could be low in gas in your system, you can always fill it just to check
Many cars can have the ac compressor bypassed. Buying a belt for the same model vehicle without ac should be the correct length for a replacement.
make sure the tread is for forward motion there is a small arrow showing the direction the tire "should" be rotating. also check your tyre pressure . hope you sort it . The compressors are basically the same . Very simply put with out getting to technical is what makes a heat pump a heat pump is a reversing valve that changes the direction the refrigerant travels in lines leading to and from the condensing unit and to the coil, without changing direction of flow in they compressor. You should always check with the manufacture before replacing an unlike compressor for compatibility.
There is no Correct answer for that, it could face in any direction
The correct adjective form for the noun direction is 'directional'. However, the word direction is used casually as an adjective, for example 'direction signals' or 'direction markers', but they should be 'directional signals' and 'directional markers'.
Depends on the car and you should fill to the correct PSI level if you do not have a totally empty system.
Bleed off some of the refrigerant to get the system pressure down, then wait a while until any liquid refrigerant in the compressor has time to leak into the refrigerant loop. It may take a few minutes; since the compressor valves seal imperfectly, pressures will eventually equalize and it should be possible to start up the compressor again.

the compressor should be under the hood on the front passenger side, it should be.
The cable compressor should come with an instruction manual which you should read before operating the cable compressor. There are also some instructional videos on YouTube.
