whta should i do if someone is chocking on an object in the air way? Type your answer here...
No.Once an advanced airway is emplaced and confirmed, chest compressions should be performed continuously at a rate of at least 100 per minute. Simultaneously, you should deliver ventilations every 3-5 seconds using the bag-valve-mask
clearing victims tongue is what you must clear, before shocking the victim due to choking and or biting tongue off if seizures is one of the diagnoses in the victims medical chart or id medical bracelet. prier to the procedures in the hospital or an emergency c.r.p victim should be asked are you OK and if unconscious and not responding proceed to proper procedures in medical assistance.
If there is no other chest or abdominal injury, and the patient is awake and conscious there is no need to worry about the airway
The first way to try getting any object out of a child's obstructed airway is by holding their arms straight up as high as they will go (without hurting them) which loosens the airways. If the child is 12 and under and giving an abdominal thrust do not do so as one would do on an adult or it could cause injuries to the child. Your fist should be under the rib cage in the middle where that small hollow is and then gently thrust. The Heimlich maneuver is also a good way to get any object out of the airway of a child, but this too should be done gently. One swift thrust, but not too strong a thrust. If after one or two minutes and the airway is not being cleared immediately call emergency services.
