Many remedies to try. Obviously cutting back acidity will help. Baking Soda. Not to be used regularly, but fine to drink and settling if you are vomiting because of acid and/or acid reflux. Can also try some of the anti acid medicines most of which are cheap, you chew them, that's it.....they're basically calcium. THE MORE important issue is WHY

would so much acid be present in your body, that can cause a buncha illnesses over time, if not treated from it's root cause.....OK?

Stay away from SODA'S, any of them. They all have carbonic acid in them.

And that would only worsen the situation even if it feels good temporarily.

Hope I helped. Good Luck!

Once you've stopped vomiting, take tums or a can if coke. It'll help the stomach. There is no way to "stop" vomiting. Just wait it out.

How many times more acidic is stomach acid than a soda drink?

Stomach Acid is Hydrochloric Acid mixed with other substances. The pH of hydrochloric acid is pH = 1. So it is a lot more acidic than a soda drink. Heaven forbid, but when you vomit, that horrible burning sensation is the hydrochloric acid from your stomach, refluxing into your throat/mouth.

How is hydrochloric acid so dangerous because you have in it your stomach and you don't die?

Your stomach has a mucous lining which protects the stomach tissues from the acid. The acid is still dangerous; - If you vomit it up, it can burn your throat. - If the stomach mucous isn't being produced properly, the acid will damage the stomach lining, causing an ulcer. - After exiting the stomach through the pyloric sphincter, the acid is neutralised by alkaline bile. One other factor is human stomach acid is usually diluted by the things dissolved into it. Hydrochloric acid becomes less dangerous when diluted, but much more dangerous when concentrated.
