To some degree this depends upon the size of the dog and how well your dog chewed the chicken bone before swallowing. If you have a small dog, I suggest keeping a close eye on him/her for the next couple of days. If he becomes less energetic, has trouble breathing or has a sore belly when you try to touch it, you'll need to take him to the vet for examination. For a larger dog, unless he practically inhaled it whole, he'll probably be OK - just watch for any signs of pain or inflammation.
Like many domestic animals, dogs were once carnivorous hunting machines. If you witnessed your dog eating raw chicken, imagine what it has eaten when you are not so observant. Dog will be fine.
My neighbor has 4 dogs, 2 Cocker Spaniels & 2 Poodles, and she feeds them ONLY raw chicken necks that she purchases in bulk from Whole Foods. Swears its the best diet for any dog! They do appear healthy and robust. I, however, have never given my dog raw chicken (or raw meat of any kind) Kind of grosses me out, but to each their own! Apparently won't hurt them!
Yes. They love it and their coats are much nicer.
Its ok if a dog eats raw chicken. Remember that the natural diet of a dog it actually raw meat that they catch in the wild. Your dog will be fine.
Not good for your dog, can cause diarrhea. I would deworm for tapes soon. More dangerous for you than the dog to eat raw pork.
Take it to a vet
Run for the hills
No.
Call your doctor or visit an emergency room.
No.
well one thing is that you should never eat raw pork and bacon is pork so it could be bad for your health
No. It should smell like raw beef - if it is a beef steak. Or pork, if it is a pork steak. And so on.
You can only use the marinade if it was cooked with the pork. The marinade would have raw pork in it and you'd get very ill if you used it unless it was cooked
Raw pork should not smell like gas. Raw meats do have a certain scent but should not smell like gas or oil at any time. Make sure to cook pork thoroughly or it can make you very sick.
Wait and see if it gets sick. Probably not because dogs eat all sorts of things we could never digest. If they are vomiting or you are worried, call the vet.
No. You should never refreeze raw meats. You can, however, cook the pork chops and then freeze them.
hes dead
all dogs can eat pork, and it is really good for them, I recommend the BARF diet - bones and raw food, This is a cheaper and healthier way of feeding your dog. Obviously not cooked pork bones though! so either raw or just the meat. If interested please purchase the book give your dog a bone by Ian an dgive your dog a long, happy, healthy life!!!!
I guess the steaks were ment for you. So why should it harm your dog, when you would eat it? Even raw you have a high quality piece of meat.
I ate some raw elk the other day and I feel fine. Also I let my dog chew on the bones and eat raw elk meat and she hasn't had worms yet. This is based on 3 kills I have had in the last 4 years. Each kill she got more raw meat that she probably should have.
