What should you do if your girlfriend is VERY jealous and you are not allowed to talk to your best friend because she gets mad and she has you on lockdown 24-7?

Run -- don't walk! -- away from that relationship. I don't care how much you love her or she says she loves you. Dump her. And make it a clean break. No contingencies. Dont put with it. Just tell her you're going out somewhere next time, and don't wait for her to decide if it's okay. Just go and tell her too bad. If this is what you want for the rest of your life, you put up with it. If it's too much to deal with, you need to terminate the relationship now. You can't expect her to change. She has trust issues that you won't be able to change. That's not a good foundation for a relationship. You are in control of what and where you want to be. Instead of fighting this, introduce them to each other. If you are spending more time with your best friend than your girlfriend, then I can see her point. There is nothing wrong with having a friend of the opposite sex. I have several and I'm married. However, my husband knows these male friends, and I have them over for dinner and end up doing the dishes while my husband and my friend are gabbing a mile a minute. If you find introducing the two doesn't work and your girlfriend is hounding you and you don't like it, you're not tied down by marriage to your girlfriend and you can walk away from this at any given time. Trust and communication are the two biggest "mamas" in a relationship! If you don't have it move on! My friend. That is not love it is about control. I have been down the road where someone wants to isolate you from the very ones who bring out the best in you. Trust me she sees the way you light up when you talk to your best friend and she probably sees the respect and loyalty amongst other things that you too have for each other. Having been in your shoes and lived a very lonely life for many, many years I would suggest you decide if that is the way you want to spend the rest of your life. Many years gone by and all you have is your girlfriend and that is if things work out. If I could change the hands of time there is no way I would let good friends that I probably knew way before him/her get away because I wasn't allowed to talk to them. No way should you allow any female or any other person to dictate who you can and can't be friends with. Especially when the friends were there before her and have proven their loyalty. And who knows they may even be able to help you enhance your current relationship. And it frigtens me to know that a man would allow someone to lock him down all day every day. That just doesn't sound right. Guys generally need to get out and spend time with other guys and shoot Basketball. Or watch the football game, or shoot pool. Just get together and rough each other up a little bit. You know keep that macho image up that us females love so much. Do you have some self esteem issues or are you afraid of being alone? If so these are things you need to deal with and let this woman know that you are a man and not only that but a human being with feelings and you want to pick your own friends and if she doesn't like it then she can get her heels to clicking. Personally I have found that people who act like this are suffering from a lot more emotional issues deep inside that you will never be able to fix and hide under the covering of jealousy. Controlling and manipulating people is more like this but you will probably do like I did and not realize this until it is too late and all your friends have run away from you wondering who you are? Be advised the next step after isolating you from friends and next family is the mistreatment and abuse that some people never recover from. Why because you have let these good life supports go and put her on a pedastal and now she turns out to be a different person. So then your pride kicks in and you are too ashamed to tell all the people that you rejected that you made a mistake and are sorry so you stay cooped up in the house all day with this individual ignoring the abuse and masquarading it as jealousy and false sense of love. Then once you have lost so much time and your self esteem is completely gone and you wake up and see yourself in the mirror you hate what you see and you seek revenge. Then things can get ugly because you will blame her for loosing all you friendships and wasting all your time. But it will be just as much your fault as hers. Trust me brother I been there. So take this advise and if I was you I would look very closely into terminating this relationship and keep loving my family and friends.
